ABOUT THE GENWEB PROJECTS

The GenWeb Projects are a group of websites who come together to provide access to "free" genealogical, as well as historical resources that pertain to the vast amount of people who have walked upon the earth over the centuries. These projects fall under two major websites known as The USGenWeb Project and The WorldGenWeb Project. There are many more which are known as "Special Projects" under the two ‘umbrella’ Projects.

About the USGenWeb Project

The USGenWeb Project is a group of volunteers who are working together to provide "free” access to genealogical resources that are in every providence, county or township in each state within and under the jurisdiction of the United States. The project is non-commercial and fully committed to free access for everyone. There are other GenWeb projects within or associated with the USGenWeb Project.

About the WorldGenWeb Project

The WorldGenWeb Project had been created in effort to answer the growing needs for genealogical resources world-wide that will serve genealogists who were seeking to research their ancestor’s native homeland online. The goal is to have every country available with representative of that country with the most available "free" resources for researcher to utilize.
